Carolyn Rue is the owner and operator of Taste &Technique which opened in 2007.  As an avid home cook and entertainer Carolyn sought out ways to expand her culinary skills and quickly found that there were very few cooking schools in the local area. Traveling to take cooking classes sparked the idea of developing a business that would cater to the home cook and provide a warm and inviting place for people of all ages to truly develop a joy of cooking. Carolyn worked with sponsor Wolf Sub-Zero to put together a comfortable yet practical studio in the heart of her hometown, Fair Haven. The business has grown over the years and now offers private gatherings and corporate events in addition to regular adult and children’s cooking classes

As Taste & Technique Cooking Studio moves toward our 15th year in business, we are celebrating the expansion of our staff, which now includes a large group of talented women. While we all come from different backgrounds, we share a common love of cooking and entertaining that we are excited to share with students of all ages. Each of us brings our unique talents to the table to assist our students in discovering the great joy in cooking for family and friends.
